Josh Davis

Josh grew up in the Bryan College Station area, from elementary age up until completing his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University. As the son of a former county and district judge, he witnessed firsthand the necessity of having an expert of the law to help navigate the challenging trials in life. Watching attorneys make a positive lifelong impact on their clients ultimately led Josh to pursue a career in law.
Josh attended Texas A&M University as a cadet in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). In May of 2013 he graduated as a distinguished military graduate, ranked number 1 of 73 in his Army ROTC class. Thankful to be assigned his branch of first choice, Josh commissioned into the Army as an Aviation Officer immediately following graduation.
Josh again graduated at the top of his officer and flight training class in the fall of 2014 at Fort Rucker, Alabama. As the distinguished honor graduate of the UH-60 Black Hawk course, he received the much coveted pure silver aviator wings.

While deployed to Afghanistan in 2017 as a MEDEVAC pilot, air assault pilot, and task force logistics officer, Josh was accepted into the competitive Army’s Funded Legal Education Program. After redeployment, he attended the University of Texas School of Law, one of the top law schools in the nation. During his time at UT, Josh served as an editor of the Texas Review of Law and Politics journal and was elected as the Vice President of the Texas Law Veterans Association.
He held numerous internships, both at the newly minted Army Futures Command, working in the autonomous weapons program, and at Fort Hood’s military prosecutors’ office and office of administrative law. In 2021 Josh graduated law school, passed the Texas bar exam, and was honored to be personally sworn into the Texas Bar by the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott.
As a JAG Officer, Josh attended the Judge Advocates General’s Legal Center and School at the University of Virginia. He served in the Army as an Administrative Law Attorney, a Brigade Legal Advisor, and a Military Prosecutor.
Upon retirement with honorable discharge from the Army, Josh moved his family back home to Bryan/College Station where he began work as a civilian attorney. He served as an associate at his father’s firm before beginning his own law firm JD4 Law.
